दुस्साहस : पीलीभीत के टाइगर रिजर्व में ही पर्यावरण दिवस पर कर दिया हरियाली का कत्ल
पीलीभीत टाइगर रिजर्व के जंगल में विभागीय कर्मचारियों की मिलीभगत से हरियाली का कत्ल करने की शर्मनाक घटना हुई। जंगल में बेशकीमती पेड़ों को आरी चलाकर काट दिया गया।
पीलीभीत, जेएनएन: विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के मौके पर जहां पूरे देश में पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए जागरूकता अभियान चलाकर पौधारोपण करने संकल्प दिलाया जा रहा है। वहीं, पीलीभीत टाइगर रिजर्व के जंगल में विभागीय कर्मचारियों की मिलीभगत से हरियाली का कत्ल करने की शर्मनाक घटना हुई। जंगल में बेशकीमती पेड़ों को आरी चलाकर काट दिया गया। बाद में कीमती लकड़ी लादकर तस्कर फरार हो गए।
टाइगर रिजर्व के जंगलों पर एक बार फिर से लकड़ी माफियाओं की बुरी नजर है। वनक्षेत्र में पाए जाने वाले शीशम, शाल और सागौन के बेशकीमती पेड़ों का कटान बेखौफ किया जा रहा है। अधिकारियों की मुस्तैदी के बावजूद भी जंगल में दिनदहाड़े लकड़ी तस्करों की सक्रियता पर लगाम नहीं लग पा रही है। वन क्षेत्र के अंर्तगत हरीपुर रेंज के कंपार्टमेंट संख्या 94 व 95 के इलाकों से भारी मात्रा में कीमती पेड़ों का कटान जारी है।
अब तक सैकड़ों पेड़ों के कटान होने की जानकारी मिल रही है। इस मामले में अधिकारियों द्वारा अपराधियों की धर पकड़ के नाम पर खानापूरी कर पल्ला झाड़ लिया गया है। पर्यावरण दिवस के मौके पर हुई इस घटना के कारण विभागीय अधिकारी साख बचाने के लिए जलौनी लकड़ी की बात कह कर मामले में लीपापोती करने में लगे हुए हैं।
आएदिन होती है लकड़ी की तस्करी,प्रशासन बेबस
हरीपुर रेंज के इलाकों में अक्सर तस्करों द्वारा बेशकीमती लकड़ियों की तस्करी की जाती है। इससे पूर्व में भी सुरक्षा कर्मियों की तस्करों से मुठभेड़ के दौरान गोली चलने की घटना घटित हो चुकी है। तस्करी के बाद विभाग द्वारा अभियान चलाकर आसपास के गांवों से बेशकीमती लकड़ियों के कट्टे पकड़े जा चुके हैं।
महज पांच कर्मचारियों के हवाले हरीपुर रेंज
हरीपुर रेंज में दूर-दूर तक फैले जंगल के दायरे की निगरानी का जिम्मा एक रेंजर के तैनाती के साथ चार फॉरेस्टरों पर ही निर्भर है। दो फॉरेस्ट गार्ड के सहारे पूरे हरिपुर रेंज की सुरक्षा की जा रही है।
क्यों नहीं लगती रोक
अधिकारियों के मुताबिक तस्करों के निशाने पर हरिपुर रेंज का क्षेत्र शुरू से ही रहता है। कहना है कि जंगल का इलाका बहुत दूर तक फैला है जबकि जंगल में ग्रामीणों के आने जाने पर कोई रोक नहीं है।
भारी मात्रा में नहीं हुआ कटान
पीलीभीत टाइगर रिजर्व के डीएफओ आदर्श कुमार ने कहा कि भारी मात्रा में कटान नहीं हुआ है। जलौनी लकड़ी ले जा रहे लोगों पर आवश्यक कार्रवाई कर दी गई है। रेंज के कर्मचारियों से दो दिन के भीतर स्पष्टीकरण मांगा गया है। 
सात साइकिलों को किया जब्त
पीलीभीत टागर रिजर्व के रेंजर राकुमार शर्मा ने कहा कि जंगल में साइकिल द्वारा लकड़ी ले जाते वक्त सात साइकिलों को जब्त किया गया है। लकड़ी ले जाने वालों पर केस कर दिया गया है।
